What is going on here? Suspending kids for “Tebowing” at school?? Maybe the principal is a Jets fan still fuming over his team getting “Tebowed” back in November? Or, perhaps a Bills fan who is quivering at his desk because he knows Tim’s coming to town on Christmas Eve to drop some coal in his stocking!

Tim Tebow appears on the cover of the Dec. 19 issue of Sports Illustrated, on newsstands now.Tebow has now been on eight covers—six as a collegian, two while in the NFL—and the Broncos have 21 covers to their name.

In leading Denver to an 8–5 record and first place in the AFC West, Tebow has orchestrated a series of dramatic comebacks in the fourth quarter—all of which have seemed to follow three-plus quarters of stagnant offense. Consider his completion percentage, yards and touchdowns broken down by quarter:

First quarter: 48.3% completion, 171 yards, 1 TD
Second quarter: 33.3% completion, 107 yards, 1 TD
Third quarter: 37.5% completion, 242 yards, 3 TDs
Fourth quarter: 61.3% completion, 732 yards, 6 TDs

Tebow says jokingly of his slow starts: “I guess I just gotta get to the stadium and start practicing a little bit earlier.”
